George Claudio - president

As a young man in the Navy, George was surprised to find himself accepting the Lord in a ship prayer meeting. After troubled times, he found his way into the unlikeliest of small storefront Vineyard Churches. As the worship pastor in the Urban Vineyard, Jesus moved powerfully and groomed George for the future. In the late 1990's, George Claudio followed a dream from the Lord and moved his family to Milwaukee to plant the Straightway Vineyard Christian Fellowship. For more than a decade, he has dedicated his life to advancing the kingdom in his section of the war for the world: Milwaukee, WI

Roger Wachtl - vice president

Roger is a lifelong resident of the Milwaukee area, and is the proud father of three adult children, and four (soon to be five) energetic grandchildren. He is especially passionate about connecting men with the reality of the Fatherhood of God, an area that has brought much healing, deliverance, and empowerment to his own life.  Recently married to his best friend Lisa, Roger brings decades of experience from both the automotive industry and his own entrepreneurial efforts to his role on the Church Council.

Denis Pleskachek - Treasurer

Denis is from Milwaukee and has a long history of involvement in the Vineyard movement. With a background as a professional musician, he has served as the primary worship leader for a number of churches, and is still active in that ministry today despite the busyness of his life today as the principal of a Christian school. Before his current position, Denis worked for more than 30 years as a teacher for the Milwaukee Public Schools. In additional to all of this, he is also pursuing a graduate degree, and works as the Treasurer on the Church Council. His commitment, experience, and wisdom continue to bless us as a church.

Ben Young - Secretary

Ben was born and raised in the Milwaukee area, and has been committed to Christ since childhood. Some of his many interests include sports, drama, music, and tasks that involve his administrative gifts. After serving with our worship team as a pianist and back-up vocalist for a number of years, Ben is now functioning as the leader for one of our worship teams as well. His administrative gifts, and the sensitivity of his worshipful heart to the Spirit of God, are a great asset in his role as advisor and organizer on the Church Council.

Sandra Negron - Board member

Sandy is from Chicago, IL and was raised in a Christian home. She joined the Urban Vineyard in Chicago in 1990 where she ultimately became the primary Worship Leader. Married to Tony Negron for 16 years, she is the mother of four boys, Christopher, Adam, Noah, and Zachery.  Since moving to Milwaukee in April of 1999 as part of the original church planting team, Sandy has worn many ministry hats, including that of worship leader, and now Children’s Ministry Coordinator. When she’s not serving at church, or dealing with a busy household, Sandy is the Assistant Director of Nursing at the 16th Street Community Health Clinic in Milwaukee. She brings wisdom, experience, and a spirit of encouragement to her participation in the Church Council.
